Nextup-jira bot uses the Slack Real-Time-Message API to look for references to Jira tickets in Slack Chats. If something that looks like an issue is found the bot connects to Jira and gets the ticket information automatically.
When your team gets a link to the issue in Jira, the current status and issue name automatically whenever a ticket is mentioned. You can mention the bot with @nextup-jira and get detailed ticket information from Jira. The connections both Jira and Slack will be made with OAuth with no passwords or sensitive data share with Nextup. The bot is built you save you small amounts of time – many times a day.
